why does the large majority of frustrations in the creative, professional, and academic areas of my life stem from having to correct or reword something due to an idiot’s inability to “understand” it? i am so fucking sick of having to water down all of my advertising and writing content because someone says “ohhhhhhh” when i have to EXPLAIN it.
i don’t know if i should be insulted or flattered when a PROFESSOR tells me they read something wrong or when the dim-wits in a fiction class don’t have the same reading comprehension level as a college senior-slash-english speaking academic.
the whole world should not revolve around the dumbest common denominator. when will readers realize that an author or designer’s content, be it ad copy, concept, or any other kind of writing or art, is not and will not be affected by the reader’s inability to comprehend language?
i want to visit ireland so bad and i opened google maps to streetview just to see because it’s so romantic and pretty etc etc and i randomly dropped the streetview guy right in the middle of wicklow street in downtown dublin equidistant between louis vuitton and chanel. fate.
