my phone in my pocket helps me find parks and beaches when i’m not familiar with an area, take pictures to remember the sights, and map my way home afterwards.
i agree with the pointless “checking in” stuff (creepy) and i don’t think it’s ever been a good idea to jump off a bridge, but to say that technology has destroyed EVERYONE’S ability to spontaneously adventure is ignorant to the fact that intelligent people know how to use it with discretion.
